Entry into Year 10 in September 2015

There are opportunities to join Caistor Grammar School in September 2015.  We are able to offer a limited number of extra places to join our Year 10 from September 2015.  Any candidates need to contact the School Office in order to take the appropriate entrance tests.  We would urge those interested to look at the advertisement on our School website currently and to contact the Admissions Administrator via the School Office for more information.

House Plays

We will be having the public performance for our House plays on the evening of Wednesday 4th March at 7pm in Caistor Town Hall.  All three Junior House plays will be performed and the winning Senior House play.  All that is missing now is the audience and we do warmly invite all parents to come along and support this always very entertaining event.  There will be no charge for entry but there will be a raffle.

Design and Technology Exhibition

Our annual exhibition of Design and Technology work will be taking place from 2nd March to 6th March with GCSE, AS and A2 work on display.  Our thanks go to Mr Graham Dobson, Head of Design and Technology, Mr Ryan Bradley and Mr Paul Hutson, D & T Technician, for helping the students to create this.  Parents and friends of the School are invited to visit the exhibition in the Old Hall on Wednesday 4th March from 5 – 7pm.

Recent trips abroad

You can visit our school website on www.caistorgrammar.com to see pictures of our recent trips to Morocco, Auschwitz and Italy (ski trip).   I am very grateful to my colleagues who supported these trips since they are a wonderful enhancement of our School curriculum.  Thanks go to Mr Nick Robinson, Head of Geography, and Mr Ed Cook for organising the trip to Morocco, to Mr Andy Hay, Head of RE, for organising the trip to Auschwitz and to Mr Michael Robinson for organising the ski trip.  We are also very grateful to all staff and friends of the School who went on these trips.  The behaviour of the students on all three trips was exemplary and they were a delight to be with.

Please support our Friends’ Quiz Evening

The Friends of Caistor Grammar School have organised a Quiz Night on Friday 6th at Grasby Village Hall, Grasby.  This is always an enjoyable occasion so please try to come along and support us.  Tickets cost £7 which includes a supper and there is a licensed bar available.  The tickets are available from the School Office and money should be sent to school in an envelope marked “Friends’ Quiz Tickets”.  Please make cheques payable to the “Friends of Caistor Grammar School”.
