On Friday 7th June, Year 7 visited Conisbrough Castle and Roche Abbey. This was to help them with their Year 7 history work on castle development and medieval monastic life.
The students spent the morning visiting the castle, and taking part in tours of the keep, the bailey and the outer walls. They then headed to the abbey where they were given a tour of the ruins, looking at the key features and exploring the main rooms and their purposes.
We were lucky to have the best weather on the trip for many years, and this helped the day to go very well.
