Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award Assessed Expedition – White Peak Derbyshire

  • Written by:

The Caistor Grammar School DofE Assessed Expedition started on Saturday 28th September 2013 at 7am when 25 Year 12 students boarded their mini buses to travel to Eyam in Derbyshire. They were spurred on by their good luck wishes read out on the Radio 2 Anneka Rice Show.

Four separate groups walked their own planned routes from Eyam to Monsal Head Campsite where they spent the night recovering and preparing for their second day’s walk from Monsal Head to Monyash.  All four groups finished their expedition at Hassop Railway Station on the Monsal Trail (just outside of Bakewell) on Monday afternoon.

Take a look at our DofE Notice Board to see photos and routes walked by the groups!
