Students in Year 8 can choose to study either Latin or a second modern language. They can continue with Latin up to GCSE. We follow the OCR GCSE course which involves both language and literature. We also learn about daily life in the Roman world, through the study of primary evidence.
In Sixth Form, students can study A’ Level Classical Civilisation, which is based on ancient history and literature. This course is open to all students, including those who have not studied Latin, although an interest in the ancient world is obviously desirable for both courses.
