Careers

Welcome to Careers at Caistor Grammar School!

To get started in careers at our school, your first stops should be:

  1. The Careers Bulletin Board – all students are invited to this open space for us to share opportunities.
  2. Browsing the below links, to a vast array of documents on UCAS, Directions, Pathways, and Webinar notes, all which are there to support you in making the right decisions.

Careers in the curriculum:

All students complete work each year investigating and exploring careers during PSE sessions. This builds to some special days off timetable, external speakers, C.V. building, all the way to UCAS and other post 18 education routes.

Careers Information Evening at Caistor Grammar:

Biennially we run a Careers Information Evening, hosted at Caistor Grammar. Those who attend will find the evening informative and valuable as they investigate the sometimes bewildering variety of routes, options and careers open to them in the future.

There are many advisers present on this evening, representing a range of careers and professions, local businesses and Further and Higher Education (Universities).

If you are interested in supporting, or working with the school Careers Programme, we would love to hear from you. Careers Connects

We enhance our careers programme in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks by welcoming a wide range of visiting speakers from employers, as well as further and higher education institutions. These meaningful encounters with professionals support students in developing their understanding of the labour market and the variety of pathways available to them.
Through these experiences, students gain first-hand insight into different career journeys, helping to raise aspirations, and develop essential employability skills such as communication, resilience and problem-solving. This contributes to informed decision-making and supports students in making successful transitions into their next stage of education, employment or training.
Below, you will find profiles of some of our recent visitors, highlighting their career pathways alongside the key skills, qualifications and experiences required for their roles.
