In addition you may enjoy the challenge of being a prefect, carrying out general duties around the school. You can also assist form tutors on a day to day basis, or you can help in the library or volunteer in some subjects to help mentor younger students experiencing learning difficulties. You will also have the opportunity to be a House official, who play a major part in organising and preparing younger students for House sporting, music and drama events. Sixth form students can also train to become pastoral mentors.
On Wednesday afternoons there are a number of activities. We offer a variety of sporting events including some fixtures. Recreational activities include fitness and gym activities There is also the opportunity to gain work experience, to carry out voluntary work in the community or to take part in the Young Enterprise Scheme. In addition there is Performing Arts Leadership Award and the Level 2 Sports Leadership Award. Activities are reviewed in response to suggestions and preferences.
Throughout your time as a sixth form student CGS you will be encouraged to contribute as fully as possible to the life of the school and the wider community.
