We are very happy to announce that the Caistor Grammar School production for 2022 will be the classic shipboard romp ‘Anything Goes’! Based on the 1987 Lincoln Center production and recently revived on the West End, ‘Anything Goes’ is set aboard the SS American as she makes her voyage to New York, populated by a heady mix of Chicago mobsters, showgirls, debutantes and ‘fallen angels’. Like the celebratory glasses of bubbly those on board are so seldom seen without, the show fizzes with Cole Porter classics like ‘I Get A Kick Out of You’, ‘You’re the Top’ and, of course, the title song.
A singing, dancing, comic masterpiece from the pen of P.G. Wodehouse, the show is sure to continue the buoyant return to the stage set last year by ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’.
There will be parts for principal singers, dancers and those who wish to take a smaller role, as well as chorus, orchestra and a production team including art and make up. Please use the form below to register your interest. Auditions will begin shortly after Easter and you will be emailed audition materials in advance to prepare.
In the meantime, you can watch the recent West End production on the BBC iPlayer and get yourself in the mood!
The SS American sets sail October 18th to 20th from Caistor Town Hall – see you there!
