On Wednesday 10th June all of Year 7 took part in the History department’s annual visit to Conisbrough Castle and Roche Abbey. The students were able to explore the well-preserved ruins of one of Britain’s foremost Norman Castles, having tours of the walls, bailey and keep.
They then moved on to Roche, where they were given a guided tour of the ruins, in order to help them see the main features of the abbey and the different functions of each room. The students were a delight to take and the trip was a great success.
