On the Wednesday before half-term fourteen Year 10 students set off with Dr. Wilton and Mrs. Cripsey to Koenigswinter in Germany for the second leg of our third exchange with Gymnasium am Oelberg.
Flying from Stansted to Cologne-Bonn airport, we were welcomed by our host families and spent eight days sampling the sights of the Rhineland area and experiencing what life is like in a typical German family as well as attending our partner school and seeing how different the lessons are there! We also enjoyed tours of the Haus der Geschichte (the post-war history museum) in Bonn, a guided tour of Cologne and the world famous cathedral, a boat trip on the Rhine to a medieval castle and of course the big favourite: the trip to Phantasialand!
Some of our students are already planning to go back or have invited their partners back to England again!
