A very successful practice/training expedition took place with 19 Year 12 students last weekend. All students rose to the challenge of completing routes that they had planned and trained for over the last few months. Their routes took them from Hathersage to Edale on Day 1, Edale to Hayridge on Day 2, Hayridge to Crowden on Day 3 and Crowden to varying points on the A635 on Day 4.
The weather was mixed but no wet feet were in evidence! Navigational skills were excellent and the students worked increasingly well as teams as the weekend progressed. By day 4 all teams were no longer in need of training and are now ready to undertake their Assessed Expedition in the Lake District in 3 weeks time.
