Condition Improvement Fund
We received some brilliant news on Wednesday when we were told that we had secured substantial funding for two building projects. We will be replacing the three portacabin classrooms at the top of the site with modular build classrooms and we will replace the roof on the gym and Manning block. Mrs Buck, the Deputy Head, and Mrs Mosey, the Finance Manager, worked closely with our bid partners to formulate a convincing submission that won the approval from the Department for Education. Local MP Sir Edward Leigh visited the site last year to view the classrooms’ condition after I wrote to him. He asked a question in the House of Commons about the distribution of CIF funding, and wrote to the Secretary of State, highlighting the challenges the school faces. We are planning to start the projects at some point in the first half of 2022.
Please can parents ensure they contact reception by email or phone on every day of a student’s absence. The email address is: email@example.com. Secondly, please can parents remember to make us aware of planned absences for routine medical appointments, practical exams, etc. as soon as they are known. You can access the hyperlinks to the forms here: [link]
Remember to maintain an LFD testing routine twice a week. The DfE/ NHS would like the result uploaded to their website, whether positive, negative or a void test. The best time to undertake one of the two tests in a Sunday evening/ Monday morning.
Thank you again for your ongoing support throughout this year.
