The Caistor Grammar School DofE Assessed Expedition started on Saturday 24th September 2016 at 7am when 26 Year 12 students boarded a coach to travel to Eyam in Derbyshire.
Four separate groups walked their own planned routes from Eyam to Monsal Head Campsite where they spent the night recovering and preparing for their second day’s walk from Monsal Head to Monyash. All four groups finished their expedition at Hassop Railway Station on the Monsal Trail (just outside of Bakewell) on Monday afternoon.
Congratulations to all 26 students!
Take a look at our DofE Notice Board to see photographs and routes walked by the groups!
Many thanks to our volunteer Assessors Dr Dan Wilton and Mr Lawrence Brown, and all our volunteer supervisors who helped to make the weekend so successful.
