The 2013 GCSE results at Caistor Grammar School are “stunning and wonderful” said a delighted Headmaster, Roger Hale.
The 96 students established a new School record for the English Baccalaureate with 82% achieving it. 100% of students achieved 5 A*-C passes including English and Maths – the Government’s benchmark of choice – for the fifth year running. In fact, all of our students achieved 7 A*-C passes including English and Maths – this is for the 3rd year running! This is also the eighth year running that the School has achieved 100% 5A*-C pass rate.
69% of students gained 5A* or A passes and 50% of students gained 8 or more passes at A* or A. The students averaged 11.2 passes each, which is a new School record.
The School’s leading student was Annabel May with 12 A*s. Sreemoyee Ghosh, Alexandra McNeil and Sophie Thrippleton all got 11 A* and 1 A. No fewer than 13 students gained all A* or A passes in their exams. The rest are: Max Vasey, Oriane Lister, Remi Simpson, Ben Stacey, Benjamin Walkling, Sophie Hollows, Sheehan Quirke, Cordelia Sheridan and Phoebe Atkin.
We expect that these results will put CGS among the leading schools in the country once again.
