On Friday 10th June, all of Year 7 visited Conisbrough Castle and Roche Abbey as part of the history curriculum.
The students were led on tours of the bailey, keep and walls by Mr McTernan, Mrs Dowthwaite and Mr Croft and saw the castle’s full splendour as the rain kept at bay. In the afternoon, they were given a guided tour of Roche Abbey, finding out about the function of each room with the help of the staff and supporting governors in the guise of Father Abbot and the monks.
