Year 9 Enjoy Macbeth Performance

Posted on 9th February 2014

By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes…

Year 9 students were treated to a theatrical delight on Friday 7th February when London based theatre company Box Clever visited the school for a performance of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, followed by an interactive workshop on the play.

In spite of the somewhat sterile environment of the New Hall, students were transported to 11th century Scotland as the three strong company charged through the play at breakneck speed, making full use of the futuristic rope pyramid which became castle, battlefield and desolate Scottish heath. The company were full of praise for the students afterwards, complimenting them on their innovative contributions to the workshop.
